I wish Ellie could understand how much I love her. She is a cute companion and I wish I could have her. My dog is totally the opposite. She is not lovey-dovey dog at all and she does not have social mannerism with people or other animals. When I ask her if she wants to bath, she grawls at me. My dog also is scared of thunderstorm and loud noise makes here so scared.

Wild Strawberries... I remember so many hikes and finding those, there is nothing like the taste of them. 😊 Yes, you may not have the mountains but the footage you share has so many similar qualities in it that I don't look for that. I just enjoy the beauty of where you are and have fun watching the adventure, Jack. I am so glad that this storm wasn't worse for you, that had to have been a bit unnerving. The scariest thing about Texas is we have tornado's that would literally scrape the house off the ground and sometimes take the foundation with it. If I lived in Central Texas I would FOR SURE have a basement... without question. Fortunately in Houston we only get F1's around here, which are bad, but you can hide in your house for safety. Here so many people die because they go get in their car and trees fall on them!

Have been thru 2 tornados, and in the vicinity of about half dozen my life, they are not a real good experience and are extremely dangerous. Pretty nice place you have there young man, the lake looks like it would be a fun place to just take the ole canoe and just let it drift. Rain, lakes, and cabin combination are my favorite. I was just thinking....perhaps a 'happy hoodie' might help Ellie during thunderstorms, if she'd wear one. It's worn during dog grooms. Might help to muffle the sound.

Thank goodness you all are safe! The mountain hopefully helps block the tornadoes....glad my daughter in law and grandson are in the hills of Tennessee...they get tornadoes too. Always so love all your videos. You should write a recipe book..." tiny cabin life recipes on the go" or something like that lol. You always give hubby and I great ideas. A lot of the coating on outdoor lights is soy based so the critters like to chew on them. It can look like a clean cut but it's likely squirrels. They got a couple of my Christmas lights.

Not to make light of a tornado warning or Ellie’s fear of storms but I think it’s so relaxing being in a cabin in the woods when it’s raining.
